Chinese evacuated from South Sudan leave the terminal at the airport in Khartoum, Sudan, Dec. 25, 2013. A South Sudan army spokesman on Wednesday said clashes were still ongoing between government forces and defected troops loyal to former Vice-President Riek Machar in Malakal, capital of oil-rich Upper Nile state, while some reports said the city fell in the hands of the defectors. Some 300 Chinese citizens working at the oil field will evacuate from South Sudan on Wednesday, 97 of whom have already arrived in Khartoum. [Xinhua]
