Editor's Note: The assistance centers in Guangzhou that accommodate children who used to wander the streets of the city hope to return each child to his or her family.

 

Li Chaoyong, a 12-year-old who lived on the streets in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, for a very long time, is sent to an assistance center of homeless children in the city on Sept. 1, 2014. Despite his inability to recall his family's exact address, which he really only knows is in Yunnan Province, he eventually gets home with help from the center. [photo /CFP via China.com.cn]
