Jade miners usually sacrifice a lot for their dreams. In the Almas jade mining area in the depths of the Kunlun Mountains, 19-year-old Maimai Tursun and his partners need to bring their jade to the place 4,000 meters above sea level that is inaccessible to donkeys in the snow. Maimai Tursun walks on the rugged road with over 10 kilograms of jade strapped to his back. A comfortable life is relatively unimportant to many of the miners, who are working to support their families in trying times. [Photo/China.org.cn]
