Editor's note: On Dec. 2, 2014, Wei Shaolan, the only surviving comfort woman imprisoned in Shaziling comfort station in Maling, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, during the Anti-Japanese Aggression War (1937-1945), revisited the stone house where she and other women were held by Japanese troops. A few days ahead of her visit, another old woman, He Yuzhen, who suffered the same experience as Wei, passed away in the region.
