Traffic jam seen in Hunan during 'chunyun'

Vehicles heading north wait in a traffic jam at Tanlei section of Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway in central China's Hunan Province, Feb. 10, 2015, while vehicles are less in the reverse lane. The number of vehicles entering Hunan from Guangdong on Feb. 10 was estimated to reach 43,000, up 40% year-on-year. The 40-day travel frenzy known as "Chunyun", the hectic period surrounding Spring Festival, which falls this year on Feb. 19, began on Feb. 4 and will last until March 16. (Xinhua/Li Ga)
