Rare imperial porcelain revealed for 1st time

The exhibit Blue and white club-shaped vase with design of archery contest is on display from July 14 to February, 2016, at the Capital Museum in Beijing. A series of imperial kiln porcelain of Emperor Kangxi (1654-1722) created a splash in the Capital Museum, giving the public a rare chance to get a closer look at the ancient royal life. Up to 100 porcelain articles are displayed in the exhibition and all the exhibits are from the Forbidden City, with some items on public display for the first time. "The Kangxi Imperial porcelain wares are distinguished by their diversity of shapes and patterns and their exquisiteness in the production," said Long Xiaofei, director of planning and research department at the museum.
