The opening ceremony of a cultural festival marking the 2,566th anniversary of Confucius' birthday is held in Jianshui, southwest China's Yunnan Province, Sept. 28, 2015. Confucius (551 BC-479 BC) was a great thinker, philosopher, and educator in ancient China. He devoted his whole life to teaching people four things: culture, conduct, loyalty and honesty.
