Editor's note: The first snow for the winter fell in Beijing early morning of Nov. 6. It brought welcome fresh air to local people as well as a sharp drop in temperature. From 8 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday, the maximum temperature in the Chinese capital was expected to be no more than 4 degrees Celsius, according to the municipal meteorological bureau.
