Editor's note: Bainiu Village, located in Changhua Town of Lin'an City, Zhejiang Province, has been known as "China's Taobao Village" in recent years due to its fast developing rural electronic commerce. Logos, slogans, cartoons and charts advertising the goods being traded on Taobao.com can be seen everywhere on the streets and lanes.

According to Aliresearch.com, the village currently runs a total of 67 online shops through various e-commerce platforms, with annual sales enjoying a progressive increase from 73 million yuan in 2012, 150 million yuan in 2013 and more than 200 million yuan in 2014. The figure is expected to exceed 300 million yuan in 2015.

Local agricultural products account for most of the sales, such as walnuts, dried bamboo shoots, tea, pine nuts, and pecans. With the "Double 11 Festival"(Nov. 11) drawing near, the village enters its busiest marketing period of the year.
