Editor's note: A "gold hotel building" has recently come into view in Huaying City, in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The 23-storey Jinhui International Hotel is 99.8 meters high and covers a construction area of 100,000 square meters, with an eye-catching glittering golden-glass outer wall. Construction started at the end of 2015 with a private investment of 580 million yuan (about US$88.34 million) and is expected to be completed and put into use in the spring of 2017. With a unique facade, it catches the attention of local citizens and tourists alike, and has become a distinctive part of the cityscape.
