Editor's note: Ten years ago, she was just a little into handicrafts and tailoring; now He Pan, 25, has her own cheongsam workshop and her own custom-made brand.

He had the idea of having her own cheongsam workshop when she was still in college. In addition to painting, she always liked to  go to the fabric market, looking for the ideal fabric for clothing. Turning sketches into real, elegant cheongsams is what she loves to do most. He learned all the skills of making cheongsam by herself. After graduation, she spent another year and a half practicing designing and making cheongsams.

In 2013, He Pan and her friend from college opened their workshop and they registered a brand for their custom-made cheongsams.
