He dedicated himself to the improvement of the local people's lives and production. Even when he was seriously ill, Jiao still persisted in working to make inspection tours to more than 120 villages for drafting development plan for Lankao. His deeds are regarded as fine examples for county officials and officials across China at large to follow. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, many ordinary CPC members have done outstanding jobs and made great contribution to the construction of the country.
