Highlights of president's bilateral meetings

Editor's note: Saturday marked the second day of President Xi Jinping's packed schedule of two-way meetings with visiting leaders on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders Summit in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The following are the highlights of the bilateral talks.

 



Argentina

Argentine President Mauricio Macri said the Chinese and Argentine economies are highly complementary.

Argentina would like to cooperate with China in are-as involving energy, business, investment, quality inspection, infrastructure and tourism, he said.

Argentina supports China in hosting a successful G20 Summit in Hangzhou, Macri said.

President Xi Jinping said the two countries should implement major cooperative projects in railways, hydropower, as well as nuclear power, and enhance cooperation in areas such as culture, science and technology, tourism, soccer and local government exchanges.

China congratulates Argentina on becoming the host country of G20 Summit in 2018, Xi said.
