A replica of the best preserved crown in China, which belonged to the wife of Yang Guang, or Emperor Yang of ancient China's Sui Dynasty (581-618), has been completed in Xi'an of northwest China's Shaanxi province. The 1,400-year-old royal crown of gold, pearl, and bronze was replicated through the cooperation of cultural heritage authorities in Shaanxi province and in Yangzhou, in east China's Jiangsu province. When the crown was excavated in 2012 in Yangzhou, the find was labeled at the highest level of archaeology discovery. It has taken experts more than three years to decipher the crown's structure, craft and material, and the work is said to provide insights into the etiquette of ancient China's Sui and Tang (618-907) Dynasties.
