Editor's note: The recently fully-opened Gongshu District Public Library in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, has attracted the attention of many visitors because of its original and unique interior layout and overall design. Covering an area of 5,000 square meters, the library houses some 320,000 volumes of books that are placed on eight-meter-high bookshelves around the reading rooms. As a comprehensive and modernized district-level public library, it has taken the country's lead in opening up multi-functional reading spaces for readers of different ages.
