A 23-meter-high, 2,900-meter-long dust screen is currently under construction in Qinhuangdao Port, north China’s Hebei Province on Dec. 27, 2016. The project will connect with another already constructed 5,000-meter dust screen to encircle all the coal and mineral heaps in the port. This will effectively improve dust control and reduce the flour dust and coal dust pollution. Hebei Port Group, which manages the three ports including Qinhuangdao Port, Caofeidian Port in Tangshan, and Huanghua Port in Cangzhou will establish a dust screen spanning over 17 kilometers -- the largest in the world. |
