Dr. Shen Chen, Vice President of Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), shows an oracle bone with scripts at ROM in Toronto, Canada, Dec. 1, 2017. China's oracle bone scripts, an ancient type of Chinese characters inscribed on animal bones or turtle shells, entered the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Memory of the World Register on Oct. 31 this year.
