Most historic Chengdu streets

Editor's note: The Wide and Narrow Alleys (Kuanzhai Xiangzi) are two ancient streets that have been restored in the architectural styles of the Ming (1368–1644) and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasties. They sum up Chengdu, a leisurely city combining history and modernity.

In the alleys, visitors can experience the leisurely and comfortable life of Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan province, offering distinctive inns and boutique hotels, characteristic local snacks and Sichuan-style cuisine, the tranquility of traditional teahouses and relaxing spas.
