Photo taken on June 18, 2019 shows a flower made by Dai Chunfu in Yangzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province. Chocolate vine, or akebia quinata, makes a great ingredient of various crafts including artificial flowers. The flower-making is complex, as it contains a series of procedures including bleaching, pasting, shaping and dyeing. Yet, the artificial flowers made from such shrub are vivid and have high value. In 2007, the flower-making techniques were listed as provincial intangible cultural heritage in Jiangsu. Dai Chunfu, 79, has been an inheritor of such art in Yangzhou since his childhood. Dai is skillful with years of experience and has accepted more than 10 apprentices. He welcomes the younger generation to learn this delicate art so as to pass the torch. (Xinhua/Ji Chunpeng)
