Photos show the scenery of Lvjin Lake (also known as Green Golden Lake) at Lvjin Central Park in Huaibei, Anhui province, on Sept. 3, 2019. Lvjin Lake, which was a former coal mine subsidence area, is an artificial lake. Covering 36,100 mu (about 2,407 hectares), the park is designed to act as Huaibei's "green lung," just like Central Park in New York. The government has invested more than 2.2 billion yuan (about $306 million) to build Lvjin Lake, making it a model for urban parks nationwide. [Photo by Wang Mengru/China.org.cn]
