Civil defense members help people evacuate from a building after a warehouse explosion in Tariq El Jdide neighborhood in Beirut, Lebanon, Oct. 9, 2020. Two people were dead and more than 20 others injured in an explosion at a warehouse in Lebanon's capital Beirut on Friday night, al-Jadeed TV channel reported.
The warehouse blast in Tariq El Jdide neighborhood caused the explosion of a petrol tank that led to massive fire in the area, al-Jadeed said. Two of the 20 injured people, who are Syrians or Bengalis, are in very critical condition. The explosion caused great fear among residents in Beirut who are still reeling from the huge explosions that rocked Port of Beirut on Aug. 4 which killed at least 190 and wounded about 6,000 others.
