Sporting legacies of Beijing 2022

Editor's note: On Jan. 19, the Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games released the Legacy Reports of Beijing 2022, which contains seven separate legacy reports covering various fields.

The Reports focus on the Olympic legacies that are benefiting the Chinese people ahead of the start of the Games, after years of preparation following Beijing's winning bid in 2015.

The most direct legacy of Beijing 2022 is the Games' positive influence on the national development of winter sports. Based on the report of the sporting legacies, China.org.cn looks at how the Games have already boosted the popularity and uptake of winter sports in China.
