Editor's note: The nature research program "City Ecological Mask" held its third session on "The Secret of Water" at Wenyu River Park in Beijing on March 19.

During the event, more than a dozen students aged 6-12 were led by ecological professionals from the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. They conducted field visits, natural experiments, and group discussions to explore the impact of water resources on the ecological environment and the scientific basis of Beijing's sponge city project. This helped in increasing their awareness of ecological conservation.

Hosted by the China Soong Ching Ling Youth Science and Culture Center for Young People, the "City Ecological Mask" program encourages young people to explore nature and gain wisdom to improve the urban living environment.
