An aerial drone photo taken on June 8, 2024 shows competitors taking part in a training session for an international invitation race of dragon boat in Fuzhou, southeast China's Fujian Province. To celebrate the upcoming Duanwu, or the Dragon Boat Festival, dragon boat races were held in many places in China. The festival is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunar calendar to commemorate ancient Chinese poet Qu Yuan from the Warring States Period (475-221 B.C.).
