Retired Chinese tennis star and two time grand slam winner Li Na has been named as the Global Ambassador of Special Olympics.


Retired Chinese tennis star and two time grand slam winner Li Na has been named as the Global Ambassador of Special Olympics.

"I hope I can introduce the sports spirit to more people with my effort. I truly hope that young people with intellectual disabilities can be encouraged by the Special Olympics," said Li Na, who donated her favorite Balolat tennis racket to raise money at a charity gala dinner of the Special Olympics in Shanghai.
