ATP World's number one Andy Murray beat here on Friday Lucas Pouille 7-5, 6-1 to set up a final meeting with Fernando Verdasco at the Dubai Open.

Murray battled somewhat himself in the first set as the Scotsman had to defeat Phillipp Kohlschreiber in the quarter finals in three sets and almost three hours on Thursday. The 29-year-old player used one hour and 36 minutes to win on Friday.

Verdasco won his semi-final against Robin Haase from The Netherlands in three tough sets, 7-6, 5-7, 6-1.

The winner of Saturday's final will take home a cheque over 2.6 million dollars and the DDF Tennis Championships trophy in the shape of an Arabic coffee pot "Dallah".
