Former NBA player Ding Yanyuhang brought a remarkable comeback in the eighth round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league, helping Shandong beat Shenzhen 106-99 at home on Wednesday.

To limit Ding, Shenzhen used double or triple team tactic, making the team lead 26-19 at the end of the first quarter. Ding helped his teammates speed up, turning the table with 54-44 in the half time break.

The home team's fast breaks and stable accuracy of three-point shots enlarged the gap to the maximum 20 points during the third quarter. Shenzhen kept chasing and narrowed the difference to six points in the last quarter, but Ty Lawson's three pointer sealed the victory.

As a player of Mavericks in the NBA preseason games, Ding contributed 33 points, plus four rebounds to Shandong. Donatas Motiejunas added 20 points and seven rebounds for his team' s sixth victory in eight games.

Guangsha team encountered its season's second defeat in Sichuan. Hamed Haddadi grabbed 12 rebounds and scored 17 points, leading five other players of Sichuan to score double figures. After edging Guangsha 120-116, the 2015-2016 season winner earned two constitutive wins.

In the other games played on Wednesday, Beijing upset Shanghai 108-98, the defending champion Xinjiang smashed Bayi 95-74, Jiangsu edged Guangdong 95-93.

Now, Guangsha, Liaoning and Shandong occupied the top three places in the standings with the same record.
