Fifth-seeded Rebecca Peterson of Sweden won the 2019 Jiangxi Open title after beating fourth-seeded Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan 6-2 and 6-0.
Both players were evenly matched at the beginning of the first set, but Rybakina lost out 2-6 due to consecutive errors. In the second set, Peterson stayed aggressive and scored an easy win 6-0 to secure her victory.
"It is my first WTA tour title this year, which means a lot to me," said Peterson, who will get 280 champion points for the victory.
The following match of doubles finals between China's players Zhang Shuai and Peng Shuai and their compatriots Wang Xinyu and Zhu Lin. It took one hour and 22 minutes for Wang and Zhu to score a 6-2, 7-6(5) win to secure the victory for doubles champion.
