WCBA new season to kick off in October

The Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) league will commence its 2020-21 season in October and run in a championship-style format, the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) announced on Tuesday.
The schedule was revealed during the league's referee training course held in China's southwestern city of Chengdu, in Sichuan province.
The upcoming WCBA season will run through three stages. The first stage, featuring isolated training and scrimmage for the 18 participating sides, will be held between August 21 and 30 in Chengdu's Wenjiang training base.
The second phase competition is divided into two parts. Following matches in Chengdu between October 1 and 30, teams will switch to Hohhot, Inner Mongolia to play matches from December 1 to 21.
The playoff stage will be contested between December 26 and January 5, 2021 with the host city to be confirmed.
