China, who opened the second round of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with an impressive 7-0 win over Guam on Sunday, will face the Maldives on Thursday, followed by more difficult games against the Philippines and Syria.

China's most likely route to the next stage of qualifying for Qatar is as one of the best second-placed teams in the Asian groups.

The French Open is back, just eight months after the pandemic-delayed last edition, and there's a sense of familiarity that was missing last time around.

Roland Garros has returned to its usual summer slot, there's been a full-fledged clay season preceding it and the crowds are set to be back in slightly bigger numbers. Rafael Nadal, the 13-time champion, enters the competition following a solid run on clay, world No. 1 Ashleigh Barty returns after choosing not to defend her title in 2020 and even Roger Federer is making his Grand Slam comeback after missing the last three.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix has a lot to live up to this weekend and Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton has plenty to think about as well.

Last year's Baku Grand Prix was a fiery battle both on and off the track. The question is how will this year's cars cope with the dramas of this inner-city circuit.
