Joel Pohjanpalo's 59th minute header gave Finland a shock 1-0 win against Denmark in Copenhagen as both sides kicked off their European Championship campaign.
Goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky was Finland's second hero of the game with several first half stops and a penalty save to deny Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's 72nd minute penalty for Danes.
However, rather than being remembered for being Finland's first ever win in the final stage of a major tournament, it will be remembered for the drama which followed after Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed on the field in the 42nd minute. The Danish players formed a circle around the 29-year-old as he appeared to receive CPR from a member of the Danish medical staff on the field before being taken to hospital.
Eriksen was later confirmed to be conscious and stable in hospital and the game was restated an hour and 45 minutes after it had first been halted after both sides asked to be able to continue.
