China's Wang Yue won the bronze in the women's judo 63kg category at the Tokyo Paralympic Games on Saturday.

On her Paralympic debut, Wang, 24, beat Spain's Marta Arce Payno in the quarterfinal in just 54 seconds.

In the semifinal, Wang faced off against Azerbaijan's Khanim Huseynova. They fought for four minutes and Huseynova's half-point won with the O-soto-gari technique in 38 seconds made her the winner, while Wang entered the bronze medal contest.

In the final medal match against the Russian Paralympic Committee veteran Olga Pozdnysheva, Wang emerged the winner with two half-points in 2 minutes and 29 seconds.

"I am very bitter. I'm so disappointed because I could not show my best. The way that I can fight, I was not able to do that today," Wang said after the contest. "I am sorry that I could not show all that I can do. For example, when I was trying to work with my legs, I was too slow, and also in the last part, I had too many doubts."

"I have not trained enough and now I got this burst of motivation for the next Paralympics. I will do more. I need to train more, much more," she said.

"I love judo. I adore judo. For me, this is everything. I love judo so much. Because there I can feel things that a person cannot experience in everyday life, and each time I am on the mat, I have such euphoria and I am so happy," Wang said.
