Ningbo Rockets swallowed another defeat on Wednesday, losing 121-75 to Zhejiang Lions in the fifth round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

The Lions benched star shooter Zhao Yanhao, but point guard Sun Minghui and power forward Hu Jinqiu were enough to keep the team ahead in the first half. Sun sent 11 assists, Hu wrapped up 25 points in the first two quarters, and the Lions overscored the Rockets 73-46 by the halftime whistle.

Ningbo veteran forward Zhang Biao scored 20 points, but the bench players could not give the staters enough support.

The Lions sent 12 players on the court, and each one of them scored.

Ningbo lost all five games from the beginning of the 2021-22 season. They will meet Guangzhou Loong Lions in the next round.

"They are a strong team and we learned a lot through the game," said Ningbo head coach Li Ke.

"Our players are young and inexperienced. We made 22 turnovers in 48 minutes."

Beijing Ducks moved past Jiangsu Dragons 86-69 after a typical Beijing-style game. The game turned out to be a very physical one and neither team was able to score more than 90 points.

Fan Ziming and Zhai Xiaochuan had 14 points each for the Ducks.

Jiang Haoran had a game-high 18 points for Jiangsu.
