The Chinese women's team won the opening match of the Women's Asia Cup, defeating Chinese Taipei 4-0 at Mumbai Football Arena stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.
The Chinese girls had a dream opening when 21-year-old Zhang Linyan earned a penalty just one minute into the game which was converted by star striker Wang Shuang.
Wang Shanshan doubled China's lead just six minute later as her header bounced on the woodwork into the net.
After the restart, China continued its domination with Wang Shuang's through ball set up for Zhang Xin's 54th minute goal and Zhang returned the favor in the 68th minuted for Wang Shuang to score a brace.
Outclassed in the clash, the Chinese Taipei side only made three shooting attempts and none of them was on target.
With the win, China sits temporarily on top of Group A with three points. India is to play against Iran in the other match of the group later on Thursday.
