Carlos Alcaraz stormed to his second title in the ATP Barcelona Open on Sunday with a resounding 6-3, 6-4 victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Alcaraz was the favorite to win after having defeated Tsitsipas in their three previous meetings, and the 19-year-old world No. 2 needed just one hour and 18 minutes to triumph over his Greek rival, delivering a powerful and dominant performance in front of 8,000 fans.
Alcaraz becomes just the second Spanish player to win the title in consecutive years, with the other being Rafael Nadal, who has won 12 times in his career.
This is Alcaraz's ninth professional tennis title, following his victories in Buenos Aires and Indian Wells this season, and the win sets Alcaraz up perfectly for the Madrid Open which begins on Monday.
