Joaquin Mosqueira and Jeronimo Domina scored in each half as Union Santa Fe rose to fifth in Argentina's Primera Division standings on Monday with a 2-0 home win over Barracas Central.
Mosqueira opened the scoring at Estadio 15 de Abril with a long-range free-kick and Domina doubled the advantage in second-half stoppage time by poking home from inside the six-yard box after Mauro Diale's headed flick.
The result leaves Union with seven points from three games, behind leaders Racing Club on goal difference. Barracas Central are 17th in the 28-team standings, three points further back.
"It's the first time this season that we clicked in every aspect," Union manager Cristian Gonzalez told a news conference.
"The first half was particularly pleasing. Our pressure and intensity meant that they [Barracas] played badly and that in itself deserves praise. I help that we can maintain the form that we showed tonight."
In Monday's only other Primera Division fixture, Atletico Tucuman were held to a 1-1 home draw by Platense.
