Chinese midfielder Li Yuanyi will miss China's next two FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June after receiving an additional one-match ban for his foul in the win over Singapore.
Li received a red card for his tackle on a Singapore player in the 79th minute of China's 4-1 victory over the South Asian team in late March, resulting in an automatic ban for China's next match.
On Tuesday, the Chinese Football Association confirmed that they received a notification from FIFA stating that Li had been given an additional one-match ban for his foul in the Singapore game.
This means he will miss China's next two games - the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Thailand and South Korea in June.
China will face Thailand on June 6 at home before visiting South Korea five days later.
