Mexico international defender Jesus Gallardo is set to leave Monterrey to join Toluca, according to widespread media reports.
The 29-year-old, whose existing contract is set to expire in June 2026, agreed to personal terms of a deal worth around five million euros, newspaper El Nacional reported on Saturday.
It added that Toluca's Liga MX rivals America and Guadalajara had also shown interest in the left-back.
Gallardo, a veteran of 98 caps for Mexico, has made 258 appearances across all competitions for Monterrey since joining the club from Pumas UNAM in 2018.
Toluca finished the recently completed Liga MX Clausura regular season in third place, ahead of Monterrey on goal difference.
