Colombian striker Miguel Borja extended his sublime form with a hat-trick as River Plate secured a 3-1 home win over Tigre in Argentina's Primera Division on Sunday.
Borja netted twice from the penalty spot either side of his low 53rd-minute strike at the Monumental stadium in Buenos Aires.
The visitors' only goal came via the boot of Gonzalo Maroni, who converted a penalty on the stroke of halftime.
Borja has now scored 22 times in 25 outings for River Plate this year, making him the most prolific marksman in Argentina's top flight.
"He's in great form and he's showing that he is a natural scorer who doesn't forgive you," River Plate manager Martin Demichelis told a news conference.
River Plate are now third in the Primera Division standings with nine points from four games, a point behind leaders Racing Club.
Tigre are second-last in the 28-team standings just one point from four outings.
In other Primera Division fixtures on Sunday, Platense won 1-0 at home to Boca Juniors, Talleres Cordoba prevailed 4-2 at Central Cordoba, Rosario Central were held to a 1-1 home draw by Lanus and Instituto clinched a 2-1 home win over Gimnasia.
