Cruzeiro are close to reaching an agreement to sign Juventus striker Kaio Jorge, according to media reports in Brazil.
The deal, which could be completed in the upcoming European summer transfer window, would see the Italian Serie A club bank up to 6.5 million euros (about 7.1 million dollars) with add-ons, Globoesporte reported.
Jorge joined Juventus from Santos on a five-year contract in August 2021 after the Brazilian Serie A outfit agreed to a seven million-euro (about 7.6 million dollars) transfer fee.
He failed to score in 11 first-team appearances for the Turin giants before joining Serie B outfit Frosinone last August on a year-long loan.
According to Globoesporte, the 22-year-old Brazilian has also expressed a desire to play for the Belo Horizonte club.
Cruzeiro are currently ninth in Brazil's 20-team Serie A standings with 10 points from six outings so far.
