Cruzeiro have completed the signing of forward Kaio Jorge from Juventus on a deal that runs until 2029, the Brazilian Serie A club said on Wednesday.
Jorge will officially join the Belo Horizonte club when Brazil's winter transfer window opens on July 10.
"[We have] reached a verbal agreement for the permanent transfer of Kaio Jorge," read a statement on Cruzeiro's website.
"The striker is expected in Belo Horizonte later this week. If all negotiating conditions are maintained and the player passes his medical exams, he will wear the Cruzeiro shirt for the next five seasons."
According to local media reports, the deal is worth up to 6.5 million euros (about 7.1 million dollars) with add-ons.
Jorge joined Juventus from Santos on a five-year contract in August 2021 after the Italian Serie A outfit agreed to pay a seven million-euro (about 7.6 million dollars) transfer fee.
He failed to score in 11 first-team appearances for the Turin giants before joining Serie B outfit Frosinone last August on a year-long loan.
Cruzeiro are currently ninth in Brazil's 20-team Serie A standings with 10 points from six outings so far.
