More than 400 students and faculty from Beijing Tibet Middle School recently visited the National Aquatics Center, experiencing the facility's dual-Olympic atmosphere through various exhibitions and sports activities. The participants also extended their best wishes for Paris 2024 ahead of this year's International Olympic Day, which takes place on June 23 each year.

With this year marking 60 years of diplomatic ties between China and France, students expressed their sincere hopes for the friendship between the two countries to be long lasting. They also voiced their well wishes for the upcoming Summer Olympics in Paris, telling the camera "Beijing wishes the best for Paris," in both Chinese and Tibetan languages.

A part of a city-wide Winter Olympic education campaign for primary and middle school students, the visit aimed to contribute to the sustainable development of ice and snow sports following Beijing 2022 as well as nurture more talent in the field.

Since the campaign's launch in March 2023, the National Aquatics Center's underground ice sports arena has hosted numerous sports programs and related educational events, with over 7,300 students participating. Last December, a forum was also held at the venue, providing university heads and school principals a unique opportunity to exchange ideas on Olympic education and explore innovative methods to encourage students' participation in snow and ice sports.

Moving forward, the National Aquatics Center will leverage its advantage as a dual-Olympic venue, promote the integration between its sports facilities and Olympic-themed education projects and continue to sustainably utilize its Winter Olympic legacy, thereby contributing charitable efforts to the growth and development of teenagers.
