Vicente Pizarro scored late to earn Colo-Colo a 1-0 home win over Junior Barranquilla in the first leg of their Copa Libertadores round of 16 clash on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old Chile international midfielder gave his side the lead in the 76th minute at Estadio Monumental in Santiago when he showed superb poise to angle a low finish into the far corner.

The return fixture will be played in Colombia next Tuesday, with the winner on aggregate advancing to the quarterfinals of South America's premier club competition.

Meanwhile, Reinaldo Silva struck twice in three second-half minutes as Gremio recovered from a goal down to clinch a 2-1 home win over Fluminense in their all-Brazilian clash.

The hosts survived an intense finale after Rodrigo Ely was shown a red card with just six minutes remaining.

In Tuesday's only other Copa Libertadores fixture, Paulinho's second-half strike canceled out Alexis Cuello's opener as the teams drew 1-1.
