Mongolia's Tsegmid Battulga won the silver medal in men's shot put F40 with 11.09 meters at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games on Sunday, marking the first time in history that Mongolia has secured a medal in Paralympic athletics.
This silver medal also represents the seventh overall medal for Mongolia since it began participating in the Paralympics in 2000.
Portugal's Monteiro Miguel, who holds the world record with a throw of 11.60 meters, won gold with a Paralympic record of 11.21 meters. Iraqi Garrah Tnaiash clinched the bronze with a distance of 11.03 meters.
