Qingdao West Coast secured a dramatic 3-2 comeback win against Shenzhen Peng City, extending Shenzhen's losing streak to five matches, while bottom-placed Nantong Zhiyun ended an 8-game winless run with a 2-1 victory over Qingdao Hainiu in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.

Qingdao West Coast hosted Shenzhen Peng City in a thrilling encounter. In the 7th minute, Shenzhen's Spanish midfielder Edu Garcia heeled the ball to his Serbian teammate Rade Dugalic, who scored the first goal. Garcia then scored another goal to double the lead after six minutes.

However, Qingdao West Coast answered quickly, with Nelson Coquenao da Luz assisting Mateus Indio for a long-range goal in the 21st minute.

Just two minutes later, Nelson set up Zhang Xiuwei, who equalized with a smooth finish.

In the dying minutes, Nelson stole the ball from Li Zhi and forced an own goal by Garcia, giving the guests a 3-2 victory.

"This was the toughest game since I took over the team. Coming back from two goals down within 15 minutes is difficult for any team," said Shao Jiayi, Qingdao West Coast's head coach.

Elsewhere, Nantong secured a vital 2-1 victory over Qingdao Hainiu. In the first half, Zheng Haoqian scored for Nantong, and Mu Pengfei saved a penalty to keep them in the lead. In the second half, Evans Kangwa equalized for Qingdao Hainiu with a penalty kick before Liu Jiashun was shown a red card, reducing Qingdao to 10 men.

Zheng then scored his second to secure the victory for Nantong, who ended its eight-game winless run.

Zheng credited the victory to the team, saying, "I was just the man that finished the shots, but it was the whole team's effort in passes and cooperation. This win is for the fans, who have been waiting a long time for this."

In another match, Zhejiang FC played out a 2-2 draw with Cangzhou Mighty Lions.
