Tomokazu Harimoto of Japan delivered an impressive performance in the men's singles final, overcoming China's Lin Shidong 3-1 to secure the gold.
The women's doubles final featured an all-Japanese battle. Satsuki Odo and Sakura Yokoi rode on the momentum of overwhelming China's Chen Xingtong and Kuai Man in straight games in the semifinal earlier on Sunday to edge their compatriots Miwa Harimoto and Miyuu Kihara in five intense games.
Also on Sunday, Kim Kum Yong of DPR Korea came from behind to defeat Miwa Harimoto 3-1 to claim the women's singles title.
As the seven-day Asian Championships drew to a close in Astana, Japan claimed three of seven titles on offer, China took the men's team and mixed doubles crowns, while DPR Korea and South Korea took one apiece.
