Kylian Mbappe is a major injury doubt for Real Madrid after picking up a hamstring injury in his side's 3-2 UEFA Champions League win away to Atalanta on Tuesday night.

Mbappe scored his side's opener with his 50th Champions League goal in a win which eases Los Merengues' danger of missing out on the knockout stages, but the Frenchman had to leave the pitch in the 36th minute.
"It doesn't seem to be serious, but he couldn't sprint," confirmed Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti after the game.
Despite Ancelotti's words, the true extent of the forward's injury will not be known until he has tests on Thursday, and any minor tear would sideline him for Saturday's short trip to play Rayo Vallecano, and possibly rule him out of next week's inaugural FIFA Intercontinental Cup in Qatar.
Mbappe's injury will be a source of huge frustration to the player, who on Tuesday produced arguably his best 30 minutes in a Madrid shirt, after having faced considerable criticism for recent poor displays against Liverpool, Athletic Bilbao and AC Milan.
