Former Brazil international midfielder Dudu has parted ways with Palmeiras by mutual consent, the Brazilian Serie A club said on Thursday.
The 32-year-old, whose contract had been due to expire in December 2025, had fallen out of favor under manager Abel Ferreira, starting only four times since returning from a serious knee injury in June.
"As the player with the most matches for the Alviverde this century and one of the most successful footballers in Palmeiras' history, Dudu will be eternally remembered as one of the symbols of the winning era," the Sao Paulo-based club said in a statement.
Local media reported that Dudu is in advanced talks to join Palmeiras' top-flight rival Cruzeiro.
Dudu, who has been capped three times for Brazil's national team, made 452 appearances for Palmeiras across all competitions after joining the club from Dynamo Kyiv in 2015.
