The National Alpine Skiing Center at the Yanqing Olympic Zone has officially opened its signature downhill slope, Ruixue Avenue, for the 2024-2025 ski season. Spanning nearly 2,200 meters with a maximum gradient of 64%, the course is designed for advanced and professional skiers seeking a challenging run.
Ruixue Avenue, located in the mid-to-upper section of the National Alpine Ski Center, was used for the downhill event during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. As temperatures dropped on Haituo Mountain this winter, the run met opening requirements. After thorough inspections, it opened to the public. With an average slope of 28%, this expert-level course delivers both excitement and technical difficulty.
With this latest addition, the center now offers 10 ski runs covering all levels, including beginner-friendly areas and trails of intermediate to expert difficulty. To enhance visitor experience, Yanqing Olympic Park has also upgraded its amenities, adding 32 new electric vehicle charging stations, including 19 slow chargers, 10 fast chargers, and 3 Tesla-specific superchargers.
