Chinese Super League (CSL) club Shandong Taishan announced on Tuesday that it has signed Brazilian players Guiherme Madruga and Lucas Xavier Gazal.
According to a club statement, Madruga, a versatile midfielder, will strengthen Shandong's attacking options with his strong ball possession and passing abilities. Meanwhile, central defender Gazal is expected to bolster the team's defense with his reliability and physicality.
Shandong Taishan finished fifth in the CSL last season, then lost 3-1 to Shanghai Port in the Chinese FA Cup final. The club hopes the Brazilian duo can help it achieve better results in the upcoming campaign.
